Festival is a performance of day or time for a public celebration. Every year in West Kalimantan many festivals show traditional cultures from different ethnics. In West Kalimantan there are some festivals such as Cap Go Meh, Gawai Dayak, Robo-Robo, and Meriam Karbit. Each festival has different uniques with the others.
Cap Go Meh is Chinese festival which is held 14 days after Imlek. Cap Go Meh performs cultural programmes such as Barongsai and Tatung. Cap Go Meh festival is centered in Singkawang. The celebration is started with a ritual to open the eyes of the Barongsai and invite the guardian spirit of the universe to enter the figures. During the procession, Tatungs are supposedly possessed by spirits and enter into a trance. They step on blades and pierce their lips, noses, and cheeks with big needles. The celebration ends with the burning of the Barongsai figures as a symbol of the casting out of evil spirits and leave the area.

MY BICYCLE

I have a bicycle. My bicycle has red color with a little of  blue color. It has multiple gears and of course it also has a chain gear regulator which is located on the handle of the bicycle. I use this to change the position of the chain. The change of the chain position gives impact to the velocity of the bicycle. I got the bicycle from my father when I was still in the fourth grade of  Elementary School. I usually use my bicycle when my mother asks me to buy something to places which are not far from my house. Sometimes, on Sunday morning my friends and I are cycling together, and I always use the bicycle. I love my bicycle very much.

Everyday we interact with English but most of us aren't aware of it. Why do I say like that? Now, let's thinking. When you are buying something such as noodles, have you ever read the instruction or the ingredients? If yes, have you ever read them in English? May be most of you don't do that. Whereas, if we want to read them we can get new vocabularies. But, don't only read from noodles because English isn't only in the packs of noodles, it appears in almost every object we see. Even if we want to learn English seriously, it can be our source of income.

May be only that thing that I can share to you now. I hope my blog can be useful for you and can motivates you to learn more about English. See you later.
